First edition, stated seventh impression on copyright page, custom fine leather binding, half leather in blue morocco, spine with five raised bands, gilt titles and decorations to spine panels, top edge of text block gilt, complementary colored cloth sides, marbled endpapers. No previous owner markings. Very Good++ condition overall with minimal signs of aging, light toning, pages are crisp and clean. A sound copy. 

Attractive copy of the author's beloved book, beautifully illustrated by Garth Williams (who also illustrated White's Stuart Little) a barnyard story which has enchanted generations of readers since it was published in 1952.
