Preliminary drawing for the novel, Chester Cricket page 40, by legendary illustrator Garth Williams.
Recently auctioned off by the estate of Garth Williams, illustrator for such classics as Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little, for sale is an original, unframed and unmatted, preliminary pencil sketch for Tucker's Countryside, written by George Selden. This was one of several sketches included as part of the portfolio of Mr. Williams which was auctioned off. Provenance will be provided to show the original Heritage Auction this piece was purchased from.
One of a kind and signed at the lower right by the illustrator, Garth Williams.
