Fine Press facsimile of first edition published in 1925 by Charles Scribner's Sons. Bound in publisher's black cloth with black and gold stampings. Book in Near Fine condition with some foxing/toning, minimal edge and corner wear. Dust jacket in Near Fine condition with some foxing/staining on back and along the front top and bottom edges. No previous owner markings. An attractive copy of Fitzgerald's classic novel in a beautiful matching, publisher's slipcase which is also Near Fine with typical shelf wear.
FEL is a series of professional facsimile replicas of the first editions published by Collectors’ Reprint Inc. Founded in 1987 by Henry Reath, a former president and publisher of Doubleday; his wife, Mary; and Kemp Battle, who also worked at Doubleday, the company prided itself on publishing the best of American literature as it first appeared.
Book measures approximately 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches in slipcase with 218 pages.
